VISA requirements

Other than Indian Nationals, all visitors to Bhutan require a visa: All visas are issued from Thimphu. VISA’s are issued to tourists booked with local licensed tour Operator.
For an individual or group to travel to Bhutan they have to route through a registered Travel company to process the visa. For that the traveler or our partner agents have to
- Send us scanned readable color passport copy that has at least six months of validity from the date of exit from Bhutan
- The file (Scan Copy) forwarded via email should be in JPEG or PDF format and visible
Once we get VISA clearance from the Tourism council of Bhutan, we will email copy of the VISA. Travelers are required to produce the copy of VISA Clearance send to you at the time of check-in for Druk Air or Bhutan Airline flight. If the travelers are entering Bhutan via road from Phuntsholing or Samdrup Jongkhar, they are required to produce a VISA clearance letter at the immigration center. The actual VISA is stamped in your passport on your arrival in Bhutan

A visa fee of US$40 is charged by the Department of Immigration. In case of extension of your visa you will have to pay US$20 as extension fee. You can apply for a tourist visa for any length of time or ask for extension for any duration. Tourist visa gives you permit to travel to all most all the places in Bhutan. For some places special permits are required which we will apply for you. For travelers, entering Bhutan by road through border towns, visa is stamped on arrival at border gates.
Note: The visa services are not offered in Bhutan, Travelers have to buy full services packages from the local Tour operator like us. If you happened to see or come across such services, considered it as fraud or inform to the Tourism Authority of Bhutan.
